Today's lesson (pdf) was a first look at solving Systems of Equations by Substitution through the lens of iPhone rate plans. We'll spend some more time with this on Wednesday.
Tonight's homework is:
- Complete Step 8 of the lesson (pdf), which is solving this system by substitution:
y = 59.99
y = 39.99 + .45(x - 450)
So, solve 59.99 = 39.99 + .45(x - 450)
The first thing we do on Wednesday will be this problem - make sure you've completed it - and can complete it again from the start.
- Complete the Solving Systems of Equations by Graphing Online Pre-Assessment.
- Do you need to re-assess on your midterm? If so, make an appointment and come in for help and/or to re-assess.
