Today we took the Graphing Linear Equations by Using a Table Assessment (key, pdf). We then worked on finishing the activity from Wednesday's lesson (pdf).

Your homework for Monday is:
  1. Check the portal for the results of your assessment, fill out your student checklist with your results, and make a plan for retake (if necessary), including making an appointment.

  2. Finish the lesson (pdf). Do the last six graphs (Murphy 1 through Meredith 2), draw "lines of best fit," calculate the rate (speed) for each section of their graph, then write down what you think the walking directions were for each walk. Then, in step 4, create your own.

  3. Watch the Graphing Linear Equations by Using Intercepts Video. Make sure you complete all parts, including doing the self-check problems in your notebook.

  4. On the way into school this morning I heard this story on NPR. Consider taking three minutes to listen to the story. Pay careful attention to the last few seconds when they tell you what this "troublemaker" is doing today. Always remember, the things that you have done (so far) are not necessarily who you are.
