We completed this awesome opener (pdf). Your assessment on Wednesday will consist of two problems very much like problems #1 and #4 on this opener.

Then the lesson (pdf) was to work through many of the investigations we've performed through the lens of slope-intercept form.

Your homework is:
  1. Prepare for the Slope/Rate of Change Assessment on Wednesday. There are a variety of ways to do that including, but not limited to: review the online pre-assessment; review your notebook and/or the openers and lessons posted on the blog; review the video, work some practice problems in your textbook or that you find online. You can, of course, also get help from me, another math teacher, a teacher in the Study Center, a peer tutor in the Study Center, or a parent, sibling or friend. Do whatever works best for you, but make sure you're prepared. The expectation is that you should all be able to do very well on this assessment.

  2. Please do your best to arrive for class a few minutes early on Wednesday (late start, we start at 9:21 am, but try to be there by 9:16 if you can). We will immediately start with the assessment (perhaps even before the bell rings if most folks are there), and then we have our Skype session with Ms. Anderson.

  3. For Thursday, finish problems 3-6 from the worksheet we did today. Do not do problem 7, as we're saving that for next week sometime (but efficiently using paper).
